SaaS UGC creator comparison checklist.
Use one consistent framework to compare creator fit, production scope, commercial terms, and the details that are easy to miss before ordering.
Step 1: define the campaign before the creator
Step 2: use a creator comparison table
| Criterion | Creator A | Creator B | Creator C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Relevant SaaS / software examples | □ | □ | □ |
| Clear explanation style | □ | □ | □ |
| Screen recording available | □ | □ | □ |
| Talking-head + screen edit | □ | □ | □ |
| Hooks / variations included | □ | □ | □ |
| Revisions included | □ | □ | □ |
| Raw footage available | □ | □ | □ |
| Paid usage terms clear | □ | □ | □ |
| Delivery fits launch date | □ | □ | □ |
| Total cost after add-ons | □ | □ | □ |
Step 3: evaluate the portfolio for your actual job
A polished beauty ad does not prove that a creator can explain workflow software. Look for evidence closest to your use case: digital products, clear narration, screen footage, tutorials, B2B tone, or conversion-focused hooks.
Step 4: compare the full commercial scope
The visible starting price is not enough. Put the final deliverable in writing: number of videos, duration, aspect ratio, hooks, captions, revisions, raw files, screen recording, delivery date, and usage rights. Then compare the total cost for the same scope.
Step 5: send the same five questions
- Can you show one relevant software or digital-product example?
- Can this package include the exact screen-recording workflow in my brief?
- What is included in revisions?
- What usage rights are included for my intended channels?
- What is the total delivery timeline from order to final approved video?
Do not turn the checklist into a fake score
Not every criterion deserves the same weight. A creator can be the better choice for a paid SaaS ad while another is better for an onboarding-style walkthrough. Use the checklist to expose tradeoffs, not to manufacture a universal winner.
